What we don't collect
Antics has no user accounts, no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, or anything that identifies you. What you answer and who you play with is never recorded — player names you type in never leave your phone.
What stays on your device
To make the app work between sessions, Antics saves a small amount of information in your phone's local storage only:
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or over
- Your chosen game mode (Drinking or Sober)
- Any player names you type in
This information never leaves your device and is permanently removed when you delete the app.
Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. To unlock what you've bought (and restore it if you reinstall), the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous ID and your purchase history for this app. That ID is not linked to your name, Apple ID, email, or any other identity, and it is not used for advertising or shared with anyone else. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
Referral codes
If you use the invite feature, our server generates a referral code linked to the same anonymous ID and stores it, along with which codes have been redeemed, so that rewards can be granted fairly. When a code is redeemed, the app also sends Apple a DeviceCheck token — a mechanism built by Apple that lets us ask "has this iPhone redeemed a code before?" without telling us anything about the device or its owner. We never receive any device identifier, and none of this referral data can be traced back to you personally.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which games get played and improve the app, Antics uses Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service. It records anonymous events such as "a game was opened" or "a card was shown", with rough session-length ranges. There are no user or device identifiers, no way to link sessions together, and never any names, typed text, or card contents — the statistics describe the app in aggregate, not you.
Third parties
The complete list of services involved in running Antics:
- Apple — payments and DeviceCheck
- RevenueCat — purchase unlocking and restore
- Supabase — hosts the referral-code database
- Aptabase — anonymous usage statistics
None of them receive anything that identifies you. There is no advertising software in the app at all.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what data is held and ask for it to be deleted. Because everything is keyed to an anonymous ID, if you contact us we may need you to read that ID out of the app so we can find the records. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device; emailing us lets you clear any referral records too.
Age requirement
Antics is designed for adults aged 18 and over and carries a corresponding App Store age rating. Some game modes reference alcohol; please drink responsibly and look after each other.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Antics changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be clearly described here.
