Everyday objects for Imposter
The stuff in your house, turned into a game of lies. It looks like the easy deck, which is exactly why it catches people out.
Everything in this deck is something you could see from your sofa, or could if you tidied. That sounds easy, and for the crew it is: nobody needs to know anything about a Wheelie Bin except that it goes out on a Thursday and next door judge you for the lid. The trouble is that ordinary things have ordinary clues. Say "plastic" and you have described a good chunk of the list. A Rubber Duck is fun because everybody's clue is a memory from the bath, and a Fairy Lights round turns into a group confession about when you really take the tree down.
The full everyday objects word list, with the hints the app gives the imposter
Every word below is dealt in the Antics app. The easy hint is what the imposter sees on the default setting; the hard hint is the harder tier. Playing from this page with paper? Give the imposter one hint or none, your call.

How to play a round with household objects
- Choose Everyday Objects in the Antics Imposter lobby. It is a free deck.
- Pass the phone. The crew see the object; the imposter sees a hint.
- Clue round, one word each. Anyone caught glancing at the thing itself takes a forfeit. Eyes are a clue.
- Ban the word "useful". It is true of everything on the list and the imposter knows it.
- Vote, then the caught imposter names the object. Agree beforehand whether "the ironing thing" counts, because it will come up.
The sneaky ones
A couple of words in here should not be allowed in the same house. The Iron and the Ironing Board both live in this deck, so an imposter who pieces together laundry, Sunday night and creases still has to decide which one, and so does the crew member who has never ironed anything in their life. Radiator and Hot Water Bottle cause the same trouble on a cold night. Every round the app deals the imposter a single hint word, Easy or Hard, and on this deck the hard ones are properly unhelpful. Iron: Steam / Faff. Ironing Board: Shirt / Wobbly. Mirror: Glass / Vampires. Nobody who gets Vampires is having a good round.
Who should play Everyday Objects
This is the one to reach for when the group is mixed and you are not sure what everyone knows. No facts, no pop culture, nothing that dates, so it works for the grown-ups at Christmas as well as the first night in a new flat, where it doubles as an audit of who actually owns an iron. It is also a tidy warm-up for the office before you move on to something nastier.
Is Everyday Objects a good deck for beginners?
The best one. Nobody needs specialist knowledge, so a new player can focus on how the game works instead of who Napoleon was. Once the group is flying, switch the imposter's hint to Hard.
Can I mix it with other categories?
Yes, tick as many decks as you like in the lobby and the app deals from all of them. Everyday Objects with Brands and Logos is a good pairing: the imposter never knows whether they are hunting for a thing or the company that makes one.
Is this deck free?
Yes. Everyday Objects is one of the free Imposter decks, and the whole Imposter game is free in Antics.
Everything in your house is a suspect now
Everyday Objects is free in Antics. One phone, one liar, and a very long argument about whether a duvet counts as furniture.
